If you use a direct payment gateway to finalize your purchase, Shopify stores
your credit card data. This information is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete the purchase. Once the transaction is
complete, your purchase information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways follow the PCI-DSS standards set by the PCI
Security Standards Council, which includes brands like Visa, Mastercard,
American Express, and Discover. These standards ensure secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

cart: Unique token, persistent for 2
weeks, stores cart contents.
_secure_session_id: Unique token, session-based.
storefront_digest: Unique token, indefinite, used
to determine access if the shop has a password.
PREF: Persistent for a short period,
set by Google to track store visits and sources.
